Thanks dude! I'm keep making it better and better. This is by far the most rust free 21 year old daily driven car I've ever seen. Weren't Mazdas supposed to be horrible for rust?

Next time loosen the filter then put a quart sized zip lock bag over it before you spin it the rest of the way off = No mess! Plastic grocery bags do not work.

10.99 isn't a bad price for coolant up there. It can exceed $15 down here!
Where is the oil filter on these cars? Hard to get at? Top, side, or bottom mounted?

it's just behind the head on the back side. I would call it top mounted but you can only reach it from underneath. A bit of a tricky spot if you ask me.

God lords. Bringing back memories of changing my friend's Ford Probe oil. There was a gap between the engine and firewall where you had to reach down to your armpit to get that the filter. If you knew the trick, no problem - otherwise it was like "wut?"
